As of the 27th of March 2011 Wizzair will be relocating from Borispol (KBP) to Zhuliani (IEV).

The good news is that Zhuliani airport is much closer to the centre of Kiev. [thumbs.gif]

The bad news is most connecting flights will require a much longer walk than previously required. [bat.gif]

Sorry it is not, I read about it also and I think I have posted something about it in another post but can't find it right now..........

I think it was on their site when I made that post, a month or two ago. [sad.gif]

What's unusual is that these budget airlines often fly to places many miles away from where you think you are going to. On this occasion the location of the airport is actually nearer the centre than the principle airport is. I guess Borispol increased their charges to pay for all the development work.

For me thats not too important, as Kiev is just a stop-over for me. Borispol was a normal waiting area, not too boring. I already fear a long stopover on Zhulhany!

As it's only 8 kilometers into the centre then I would do a long stop over there. [hi.gif]

Ok, so my wife went through Zhulany airport yesterday.

The new terminal they built is very nice service-wise speaking and prompt and correct handling of customs and baggage :-)

The airplane passengers were of course of Russian mentality, which Lena wasnt used to anymore... Such rude folks [rolfsmall.gif]

But the Airport is good ......... [wink.gif]

Funny how quickly these girls get used to new habits and when they go back home most if not all of them make the same comments.

Last year my wife made exactly the same comment as soon as she arrived ! [very_funny.gif]
