UK Landing / Immigration card

A copy of the latest UK landing card with the questions translated into Russian.

I just hope that this will help those that are not very proficient in Reading English
when it comes to filling out the landing card when they are travelling on their own.

Please note that the card must be completed in English

Yannis,
Why would you say that?

I do get away with murder and for quite a few reasons.

First, Alla's motto is "Мне не нравятся компьютеры" for those that Find Russian a bit of an issue "I do not like computers".

Second, If I was to call Alla a "Баба-Яга" ad the first law did not apply then I might have gotten into trouble.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baba_Yaga
But the first law applies Image

A little bit of Russian folklore.
The Russian Witch (at least according to my Russian Witch) is a beautiful entity.
It is the Baba Yaga that is the ugly version.
Both are usually evil but they can be kind if they wish to be.

When I call my Witch a Witch she normally retorts with "That is fine because you are Barmaley, so we make a fine couple"
Barmaley

Barmaley is a mythical evil pirate that eats small children, a bit like Baba Yaga does.

It looks like I have done a Bob Hope to my own thread here.
To explain.
Jack Lemmon was sitting on an aeroplane when his mate Bob Hope got on board.
Jack says "Hi Bob"
Bob answers "Hi Jack".
And ............ Everybody runs off the aeroplane screaming.
Image

But It's my party and I'll cry if I want to

Well as long as I hijacking my own thread I may as well have some more fun.

By the way, try the expression "I got away with murder" on a literal thinking Russian and wait for the reaction.

Lots and lots of fun.

Trust me it is lots of fun.
