Oh yes don't make a mistake and think that you are hopefully will be getting married to a Smokinghotkova and rescue her from her miserable existence and shit-hole place (to use Donhollio's favourite word) but like it or not also her parents and family too. What you need to know is that the Russian families are very close and supportive to each other and Russian women, your future wife, always will be thinking about them and feel guilty for leaving them behind without her support.

If you are looking for happy and succesful relationship with your future wife then you should take that into consideration and include support for her parents in your financial plans. After all if you can't afford to send back home £200 - $300 a month then you will not be a well thought off and carry not a lot of respect if you can't be that strong man in her eyes.

Having said that Russian women and I mean most FSU women, are hard workers and will do the best they can to help and support their family and husbands once they come over here.

Myself, took the necessary steps and the poor pensioner from Surrey always managed to be in the good books with his MIL.

In my case there is no thoughts about sending back money and instead they will just have access to her account which will be funding by renting her modern flat (with parking spot) in Moscow. This will give them access in case they need a little extra or for tickets to fly over and visit.

In our case MIL is living in my wife's flat and we have to pay all the bills plus any additional costs for mama to have a comfortable life! Frankly we did not find that difficult to finance and as you very well know, Russian women, living in Russia.... are very frugal!

What it's important is the fact Baboushka has to be happy......... so your wife doesn't get those guilty feelings!

Coming from a similar society, where the children have to take care of their old parents, I knew that it was part of my responsibilities, so a reasonable monthly amount and a debit card had to be arranged and budgeted for, before getting married.

Of course that prepration got me her blessing during our wedding!

When marrying a Ruskia zhenshchina you are marrying into her family and that does carry certain responsibilities if you ignore those responsibilities you are making a rod for your own back.

Dealing with financial issues does depend on the individual circumstances.

I will go further and say that dealing with any and all issues varies, but be assured that you are expected to become a family member and an active participant in the family attempting to abdicate your new responsibilities will most likely end in tears.

i must be the lucky one not only do i have a beautiful wife, also her family give us money when ever we visit moscow. her family do not require any of our money but it is there if they need it. after all we are family and help each other.
