Our Service from April 2011
The public and business counters at the Legalisation Office in Milton Keynes will close on 31 March 2011. From 1 April, all applications for Legalisation should be sent by Post to the following address: The Legalisation Office Norfolk House (West) 437 Silbury Boulevard Milton Keynes MK9 2AH The service for premium business users at Centre Point will remain unchanged. We will publish a re-structured Legalisation Office website on 1 April 2011 to help our customers find the information they need quickly and easily. It will include a newly designed Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) page and clear guidelines on the documents we can legalise and how they should be presented to us. All customers will need to follow our new step-by-step instructions on how to apply and complete a short application form. We encourage all of our customers to pay on-line using a credit or debit card. We aim to process all straightforward applications within 24 hours (excluding postal times). A straightforward application is an application that: Is received with a fully completed application form Contains documents that are received in the correct format Contains the correct payment (including e-payment receipt or e-mail confirmation). If one or more of the above is not met, the application will be considered non-straightforward. Non-straightforward applications will take longer to process but customers will be advised of the likely timeframe and updated on progress by e-mail. We may also need to delay your application if it contains documents with signatures of UK public officials that are not already on our database.
