Why not add a Sarong to the list.

Depending on the temperature a sarong is much more convenient than a kilt because the sarong is made of lightweight material while a kilt is made of wool.

When you buy a sarong it looks like a small bed-sheet but once you master the art of folding it the correct way (different folds for men and women) you can partake without any problems in most types of physical exercise while wearing it.

Regarding the wearing of a garment that is constructed with two circular tubes in to which one inserts a leg into each separate tube, I agree that in most of the western cultures such a garment is the prerogative of both sexes while the wearing of a garment that is one circular tube into which one inserts both legs is the prerogative of the the female.

Of course the main exception is the Kilt originally Scottish (although that is debatable) but now adopted by many Celtic Cultures Wikipedia.

If we look outside of the Western dominated cultures then the wearing of a garment that would be called a dress by westerners is an accepted garment to be worn by both males and females.

It's nothing to do with Genetics, it's more to do with one's proclivity towards enjoying the Sapphic pleasures and certain of the more exotic forms of libertine concupiscence.
