You know Vinny, I have wondered that myself, quite often. Every time the subject of Soccer comes up I wonder how in the world someone can enjoy watching that. Watching clothes dry in a dryer is more exciting.

For football, I watch our whole country go crazy over it and wonder why the rest of the world doesn't play it.

I have no answer for those questions.

Your handball game is very boring, that is why?

Who wants to watch some gorillas dressed in armour crashing to each other and making granting noises?

All Footballs are boring, that includes soccer [wink.gif]

I only like to watch EK/WK games of soccer because of the atmosphere and the big streetparties

Nothing beats the atmosphere of the Wembley Stadium, especially when Liverpool won the European Cup!

Foodball is played in every country of the world and that is why it's successful.

Reading the comments of Turbo, now is taking over also in USA, so soon...

Our Rugby league is great to watch but American (they call it football, which it's not....as wiz said it's handball) is boring.

I am sure when the American's have a little more years of REAL football then they will see the difference.

Ninety minutes full of action with a 15 minutes break..... that is excitement. :D

At almost four times the height of the original, covering twice the area, and with 90,000 seats,
the new Wembley Stadium is the largest covered football stadium in the world.
The key feature of the new stadium is its partly retractable roof, supported structurally by
a spectacular 133-metre-high arch. Dramatically illuminated at night, the arch is visible from across London.

.... unfortunately to pay for it then its £336 to watch a game, and the hot dogs are £11.50p (+£5 if you want a sausage in it).

(One day I will tell you a story about Sting, Linda Lusardi and myself in The Olympic Gallery at the old Wembley stadium. I've been saving it for when I got famous, but I don't think I'm gonna try for that anymore).

Why Americans like their 'football' ?

Women : see men with seemingly broad shoulders and a nice ass in tights.
Men : apart from those who appreciate the same.... know its the only thing their wives will allow them to watch. [drinks.gif]

Wembley stadium looks great. Our local college (Penn State) has one that is not too shabby either 107,200 seats. Of course it is not covered and not the biggest here.

I am not too sure that football is the only thing some wives will allow them to watch. My former GF who was 24 years younger than me would go crazy if I watched a football game. Mostly because of the cheerleaders such as the Dallas Cowgirls. Watching football would get me kicked and spit on.
