I guess that one of the good parts of my wife working in my office is that she never seems to get a no from her boss if she asks for time off.

Actually we are heading for the west coast next week. I have a trade show in San Diego. I will be driving out. It is 2500 miles and my wife is going to fly out as far as Vegas. We are going to spend a day in Vegas then go on to San Diego and then go up to LA to Disneyland and Hollywood, then back to Vegas for a couple of days.

I haven't heard any specific plans but I know she wants to bring her Mom over to show off our new house and I think in the Fall she might go back to Russia for a visit. As I said, that is the plus of being married to your boss. Of course in real life I am not so sure who is the boss.

You still think you are the boss? [haha.gif] As far as I know VWRW was/is a very clever and astute woman, she knew more about you and your adventures, than you thought she did! [wink.gif] .... but obviously took a shine on you and your personality....and finally achieved her dream, finding the right man to share her life! You are a very lucky person finding such a good woman! [thumbs.gif]

Have a nice trip and if you by any chance visit the roulette, I advice you to play VWRW numbers and good luck! [biggrin.gif]

You can't blame her that she wants to show her mother your new house and you better finish any work you have to do, before her arrival. Make her proud ...... BOSS [very_funny.gif]

In our house, (Mr and Mrs Wiz,) decisions are taken jointly and each party has it own special responsibilities but in reality we compliment each other. Of course I am the boss.... [lol.gif] with control for the financial planning, expenditure and the budget, travel arrangements (due to my past experience), Cooking most days, as I am the author of a cook book and have more free time than her, sometimes washing the plates, odd jobs around the house and helping with the garden. I refuse to operate the washing machine or do the ironing! I made clear that I prefer to have a coffee on my own than going with her for window (or shop) shopping [surprised.gif] with the exception of the weekly supermarket visit. There we part our ways, me holding back and her wanted to buy everything her eyes can see! Some how I always manage to get out of there with 30 - 40% less damage to our wallet than when she goes alone, after work. [sad.gif]

Otherwise life is a long Marathon trip... you must practice and run every day .... but we are still together.

That must be an achievement, don't you agree! [yahoo.gif]

Wiz, it seems like you have settled into a life that makes you both happy and content and that is good. We have too. Iren is very frugal so she can shop alone without breaking the bank. She does enjoy shopping which is something I don't enjoy. One of her passions like most RW is shoes. We went out last Sunday to buy me some pants and came back with more women's shoes than we did men's pants. But they were mostly at a big discount. One pair of boots she bought was $ 15.00 on an end of season clearance.

She does the grocery shopping at a discount store (Aldi's, you may have those). She cleans the house, does the laundry but I iron my clothes. I really never minded ironing for some reason but always hated making a bed or vacuuming. I pretty much handle the finances other than she writes the checks for utility bills for the house.

We moved from a house built in 1900 that I bought for taxes for $ 3900.00 but spent 20 grand or so remodeling to a fairly large house built in 2006. It is about 100 sq. meters larger than the old house so we have had to buy some furniture. I have let her do that but some things she has bought used of internet classifieds. We got some real bargains on some really nice stuff. We are buying the living room and bedroom furniture new but haven't got it yet. We won't till we get back from our trip.

I should get to Vegas before Iren so if I do any gambling it will be while I am waiting for her. She worked in a casino it Russia and is not a big fan of gambling.

You are right. If I think I am the boss I am being a little delusional. Still I do have a few areas where I do make the decisions and on major things we both decide. We both seem happy with the way our responsibilities are divided and yes, I am a very lucky guy. The nice thing is that she thinks she is lucky to have found me as well.

I have to say the fact that she spent months reading every one of my 3500-4000 posts on the other forum helper her to know me and made me think that I was important enough to her to feel like she would be a good choice.
