Hi,

I'm a Russia woman happily married to a British guy for almost two years. We live in France, and I found this board when looking for some information regarding the directive 2004/38/EC.

We met on the internet 7 years ago, so I can relate to many issues discussed here.

Cheers to all, Lana

Hello Lana

and [welcome1.gif] to the board.

Nice to have another Russian woman on the board, and I am sure you can contribute allot of your personal Experiences here.

I am married to a Russian woman from Ufa and brought her here under the EU Directive.

Today she is very busy getting ready to go back to Rodina, tomorrow morning but I expect she will say hi to you, later when she has a minute.

If you haven't yet read about our story and you have nothing else to do.....
you can read all here.... viewtopic.php?f=13&t=13

wiz ... aka ... Yannis

to RWF.

Hope you find it interesting despite that it's a bit slow, because most people here we are married to a Russian or Ukrainian woman and we have family to care but still we offer help to any new comers.

Nice to have you around.

Hello Julian,

You are very brave, my husband James doesn't even want to visit my home city St. Petersbourg. He's too scared of the political situation in Russia.

Your husband believes on too much propaganda and negative comments..... about Russia or he finds an excuse no to go there.

Tell him from me, if he is not a "Bad boy who play with fireworks", comes from Pakistan, Afghanistan and any other country with troubles..... then he will have nothing to worry!

St. Peters is a lovely place....... show him the pics on this board.

I have travelled 15 times to Russia and had very little problems. Registration in OVIR is now up to 7 days.......... and costs..... waste time not money or you can do it via the post office.

All the information about travelling to Russia Federation can be found on this board!

When i first visited Russia i was nervous, but it was unfounded fear , i have been travelling here for almost 6 years on a regular basis and have lived here for several months in that time, i have not found any problem except for language barrier, i have never even seen any issue, most of the time Russians are only too happy to help an Englishman , some of the most friendly people in the world are here !! your husband should not fear Russia and if given the chance visit her to form his own opinions based on experience and not what other people think of Russia.
