Wiz, sorry I wasn't very clear in my post. My primary purpose in saying no advertisers = no issue was there here we don't have to worry about advertisers creating a bias since there are no ads which most all of us appreciate.

Of course I am not sure if the exclusive deal at RWD is a fact or a serious discussion. It sounded more like a done deal but I have not heard much more and really didn't put much thought or concern into it one way or the other.

Of course there is an actual site called "ladies in nude" that is an MOB site with RW. If a forum had them for an exclusive advertiser that might actually be a good thing.

I am sure with your time on these boards and from what we have seen till now, you will agree that once a board accept advertising, which is their stream of revenue, then their independence is compromised.

I never agreed neither understand the logic of the argument that because a board have many different advertisers still can remain independent, something in my view not possible.

Should we really believe that any board owner would allow it's members to post critical comments accusing an advertiser for bad service or bad contact and dissatisfaction for their services and ethical miscontact without moderating these harsh accusations?

Are they going to bite the hand that feed them...... somehow I don't think so!

The comments about the exclusive advertising deal were made by the owner of the larger board and in my view it was a pre-emptive action on his part to prepare the membership to what MAY come later on the board. If it materialise or not it's irrelevant because the fact remains once you accept and depend on advertising revenues to run your business, because the other 2 larger boards are and treated as business, then your independence is compromised and the owners of any board will do whatever they can to protect their income source!

Well you have nothing to worry about our board accepting advertising, but if you make the mistake and post a link to that site you mention..... our membership will go there with Donhollio leading the evacuation ...... and I will have to continue talking to my self or debating with our friend Moby!

Well, I can see the potential for a sponsor to put pressure on a board owner to eliminate negative comments. RWG was unmoderated for all practical purposes after the buy out but I saw people trashing its owner right and left. On RWD I have never seen any attempt to moderate negative comments about the sponsors. Of course Elena's is one where there are few negative comments but i am not so sure the others fare the same and it has been a non issue. Personally I think any negative comments about an exclusive sponsor or any sponsor will go on unchanged but that is only my guess.

Just think how bored you would be without Moby to disagree with.

I just had a look at both large boards and looks that HRB started it's exclusive advertising deal on RWD, and also it is advertising its Love Planet Match on RUA but there is also Elena's Models and the customary advertising of his book!

Now let's see what their membership will say and if they start talking about it.........especially on RWD where the Love Planet Match ads plastered in every page!

Yes, I noticed that last night. For the most part I don't care one way or the other but I do hope they come up with better ad's. RWD is much more boring graphically with the LPM ads than it was with the Elena's and Cute only ads. I actually thought the old ads were a positive to the site but the new ones are just ads.

I guess I always found it interesting to see if anyone I knew would pop up on the Elena's ads. It only happened once when I saw a gal from Nikolev that I had spent 5 days with. She was easy to recognize since she was still using the same photo 5 years later and even 5 years before the photo looked a million times better than she did in the flesh. (well not that I saw enough flesh to know what she looked like in the flesh)

Sorry to say TG but you should 'care' as WM will be scammed by the shed load on that site. The owners of both sites know this but have turned a blind eye in return for $$$$$$$$$.

Was the creation and purpose of these discussion boards to offer help and advice to innocent people so they can avoid been screwed up by unscrupulous marketeers and impossible dream sellers.......

Using a few spare minutes this lunch I decided to check out the PLM adds on another site, and noticed that one of their main posters who resides in Tallinn (probably so he can sponsor attractive teens and avoid the tag of a sex tourist, IMO), has resorted to calling a respected member there an "idiot".

Yep, it certainly becomes obvious when management has an agenda and they allow such behvior to persist. It also makes me happy that I found the "Old Greeks" (correct me if I'm using too nice of a term to describe Manny's reference to you wiz) site.
